The Arts: Then, Now,
Forever | 國(guó)際部三年級(jí)探尋藝術(shù)的“前世今生”
我們?nèi)绾伪磉_(dá)自己？國(guó)際部三年級(jí)的師生選擇了用藝術(shù)來表達(dá)自己。藝術(shù)可以通過各種形式和多種材料來表達(dá)——這是我們藝術(shù)單元的中心思想。每年到了藝術(shù)單元，我們都會(huì)思考，什么是“各種方法”，什么是“多種材料”，以及怎么“表達(dá)”。
How do we express ourselves? Our Year 3 students and teachers of the International Division chose the arts to express themselves. The arts can be expressed through a variety of methods and materials – This is the central idea of our Unit. Every year when the Arts Unit comes around, we reflect on what constitutes a variety of methods and materials, as well as how we “express ourselves” through them.
UOI：溯藝術(shù)源流?繪時(shí)空長(zhǎng)卷
在短短六周的UOI課程中，三年級(jí)的每位學(xué)生都深度參與了全部18種藝術(shù)形式的設(shè)計(jì)與創(chuàng)作，按照時(shí)間線從古至今依次包括了：
Over the course of just six weeks, every Year 3 student fully engaged in the design and creation of 18 diffferent arts forms, exploring them in chronological order from ancient times to the present day:
1. Prehistoric Art 史前藝術(shù)（公元前30 000年~公元前3000年）——洞穴畫
2. Ancient Egyptian Art 古埃及藝術(shù)（公元前3000年~公元前300年）——埃及文字
3. Ancient Chinese Art 中國(guó)古代藝術(shù)（公元前1600年~公元220年）——水墨畫

跨學(xué)科：融學(xué)科之智?拓藝術(shù)之境
藝術(shù)的邊界從不局限，跨學(xué)科的融合讓本次藝術(shù)單元更具深度與趣味。藝術(shù)課上，同學(xué)們化身遠(yuǎn)古先民，用色彩與線條復(fù)刻洞穴畫的古樸與神秘；數(shù)學(xué)課上，2D與3D圖形不再是抽象的符號(hào)，而是成為創(chuàng)作的基礎(chǔ)，同學(xué)們精心設(shè)計(jì)出充滿幾何美感的作品；DT課上，大家充分發(fā)揮動(dòng)手能力，利用學(xué)校提供的材料將數(shù)學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)轉(zhuǎn)化為立體的藝術(shù)佳作；語文課與書法課的融入更添東方韻味，同學(xué)們學(xué)習(xí)水墨畫的靈動(dòng)意境，還在作品上揮毫題字，讓筆墨書香與藝術(shù)之美完美交融。
Boundaries are meant to be broken, and transdisciplinary integration has lent greater depth and creativity to this unit. In art class, students became ancient artists, using colors and lines to recreate the simplicity and mystery of cave paintings. In math class, 2D and 3D shapes were no longer abstract symbols but the foundation for creation, as students designed works brimming with geometric beauty. In Design and Technology classes, students gave full play to their hands-on skills, turning their math-based designs into artistic masterpieces using a variety of materials. The integration of Mandarin and calligraphy classes added a distinct Asian charm —students learned the vivid artistic conception of ink paintings and calligraphy in their works, seamlessly blending the elegance of brush and ink with the beauty of arts.
走出課堂，實(shí)踐與探索讓藝術(shù)學(xué)習(xí)更顯鮮活。在field trip中，同學(xué)們沉浸式體驗(yàn)藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作，完成了古埃及藝術(shù)、抽象藝術(shù)、現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)等多主題的裸眼3D美術(shù)館制作，用創(chuàng)新形式解鎖藝術(shù)表達(dá)的更多可能。
Beyond the classroom, practice and exploration brought arts learning to life. During the field trip, students immersed themselves in artistic creation, producing a 3D art gallery featuring multiple themes including Ancient Egyptian Art, Abstract Art, and Modern Art, unlocking new possibilities for artistic expression through innovative forms.
成果展：聚創(chuàng)作之美?赴藝術(shù)之約
“The Arts: Then, Now, Forever國(guó)際部三年級(jí)藝術(shù)單元成果展”于12月16日如期而至，為全校師生與家長(zhǎng)呈現(xiàn)了一場(chǎng)跨越時(shí)空的藝術(shù)盛宴！體育館的每一步樓梯貼紙都是藝術(shù)史從古至今的時(shí)間線，一步一步從“古”走到“今”。
The Year 3 Arts Exhibition opened on December 16, presenting a spectacular art feast spanning time and space to teachers, students, and parents across the school! Every step on the gym stairs was marked with signs depicting the arts history timeline, guiding visitors on a journey “from ancient times to the present day”.
本次成果展共設(shè)18個(gè)特色展位，以藝術(shù)史時(shí)間線為脈絡(luò)，每一個(gè)展位都承載著三年級(jí)小藝術(shù)家們?cè)谒囆g(shù)單元中的學(xué)習(xí)沉淀與創(chuàng)意表達(dá)。他們用自己的創(chuàng)意勾勒出的藝術(shù)發(fā)展的清晰脈絡(luò)，讓“The Arts: Then, Now, Forever”的主題變得可觸可感。
The exhibition featured 18 unique stations, organized along the arts history timeline. Each station showcased the learning outcomes and creative expressions of Year 3’s young artists throughout the unit. Through the students‘ creativity, they mapped out a clear evolution of arts, making the theme “The Arts: Then, Now, Forever” tangible and accessible to all.
每個(gè)展位的三年級(jí)學(xué)生們都成為了本組藝術(shù)時(shí)期的專家，熱情地向前來參觀的其他年級(jí)同學(xué)、老師以及家長(zhǎng)們講解該時(shí)期的藝術(shù)形式與代表，同時(shí)每組都精心準(zhǔn)備了與主題相關(guān)的互動(dòng)活動(dòng)，讓嘉賓沉浸式感受藝術(shù)的魅力。
At each station, Year 3 students acted as experts on their assigned art period, enthusiastically explaining the art forms and representative works of that era to visiting students, teachers and parents. Additionally, each group prepared interactive activities themed around their art period, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the allure of arts.
同時(shí)，我們還選取了三年級(jí)學(xué)生們本單元的一些藝術(shù)作品，印制成了精美的獨(dú)家限量明信片，希望贈(zèng)予參觀者們美好的藝術(shù)紀(jì)念。
At the same time, a selection of the Year 3 students’artworks from this unit was turned into limited-edition postcards, offering visitors a beautiful memento of their artistic experiences.
作為IB強(qiáng)調(diào)的“Taking Action”的重要組成部分，同學(xué)們還運(yùn)用各類手工材料裝飾了校園里的一棵棵樹木，讓藝術(shù)走出展廳，將藝術(shù)之美傳遞到校園的每一個(gè)角落。
As a key process of the inquiry cycle, students also used a variety of craft materials to decorate the trees across the campus as part of their “Taking Action”. This initiative brought the arts outside of the exhibition hall, spreading the beauty to every corner of the campus.
從藝術(shù)史的探索到跨學(xué)科的實(shí)踐，從作品創(chuàng)作到校園美化，三年級(jí)的同學(xué)們?cè)诒敬嗡囆g(shù)單元中不僅收獲了藝術(shù)知識(shí)與創(chuàng)作技能，更培養(yǎng)了審美能力、合作精神與實(shí)踐意識(shí)。The Arts: Then, Now, Forever，藝術(shù)的傳承與創(chuàng)新永不停歇！
From exploring arts history to engaging in transdisciplinary practices, from creating artworks to beautifying the campus, the Year 3 students not only gained knowledge and skills throughout the unit, but also developed their aesthetic appreciation, collaborative spirit, and sense of initiative. The Arts: Then, Now, Forever — the inheritance and innovation of art will never cease!
