——記世外學子走進烏拉圭東岸共和國駐上海總領事館展開跨文化對話

這學期，上海市世外小學國際部的孩子們多了一個新課后社團——西班牙語社團。正是因為這個聯結，他們獲得了一次特別的邀請：走進烏拉圭東岸共和國駐上海總領事館，成為一天的“小小外交官”。

活動在一段清新生動的舞蹈中拉開序幕。學生代表Winlyn以一支中國古典舞《越女詞》，將東方美學的寫意與南美空間的熱情相融，有了第一次無聲的對話。

烏拉圭東岸共和國駐上海總領事馬龍先生（Marcelo Magnou）微笑著迎接孩子們。他生動地講述了烏拉圭的風土人情，帶大家“走”遍了烏拉圭：從廣袤的潘帕斯草原到都市街角的熱情探戈，從一杯共享的馬黛茶到全球熱愛的足球。遙遠國度的輪廓，在孩子們心中漸漸清晰。

提問時間，孩子們化身“小記者”，以流利的英語夾雜著剛入門的西語提問：“烏拉圭的孩子們最愛過哪個節日？”“足球如何能成為國家的名片？”......總領事仔細地聽著，認真地回答，不時為這些小小訪客的視野點頭贊許。這一刻，孩子們的好奇心終于得到了釋放。

多語詩朗誦成為當天最動人的環節。學生們用中文、英語、西班牙語三種語言演繹烏拉圭著名詩人馬里奧·貝內德蒂（Mario Benedetti）的《停頓》與巴金的《繁星》。不同的語音韻律交織流淌，仿佛幾條來自遠方的溪流，最終匯入同一條情感的江河——語言雖有邊界，但那些對生活、生命與成長的感悟，卻在每個人心中激起了相似的波瀾。超越國界的文學此刻成了最親切的橋梁。總領事鼓勵孩子們多學語言，學好語言。

手工DIY環節很熱鬧。中國的熊貓、舞獅，餃子、蒼龍，在彩紙、畫筆與巧思中相遇、結合。

臨別時，孩子們送上特別的禮物，親手繪制的中烏主題畫作。在孩子們的畫筆下，中國的長城與烏拉圭的名勝相依，一群國寶大熊貓正在蒙得維的亞的海灘上快樂地嬉戲。這些天真爛漫的繪畫，正是他們獻給中烏建交七十五周年最純真的祝福。

一次訪問，或許改變不了世界。但當舞蹈成為問候，詩歌觸動心弦時，文化交流最珍貴的種子，便已悄然播下。孩子們正用天真與真誠，連結起世界的友誼與理解，也連結起一個更包容、更廣闊的未來。

A Mini "Diplomacy Lesson" at the Consulate General — A Record of World Foreign Language Students’ Cross-Cultural Dialogue at the Consulate General of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay in Shanghai

This semester, students at the International Division of Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School welcomed a new after-school club — the Spanish Club. It was this connection that earned them a special invitation: a visit to the Consulate General of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in Shanghai, where they stepped into the shoes of "little diplomats" for a day.

The event kicked off with a fresh and lively dance performance. Student representative Winlyn presented Yuenü Ci(Ballad of the Yue Maidens), a classic Chinese dance, blending the freehand brushwork charm of Eastern aesthetics with the vibrant energy of South American ambiance, thus striking up the first wordless dialogue between the two cultures.

Mr. Marcelo Magnou, Consul General of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in Shanghai, greeted the children with a warm smile. He gave a vivid account of Uruguay’s local customs and traditions, taking the group on a tour across the country: from the expansive Pampas grasslands to the passionate tango danced on urban streets, from a shared gourd of mate tea to the globally beloved sport of football. Gradually, the contours of this distant land took clear shape in the children’s minds.

During the Q&A session, the children transformed into "little journalists", asking questions in fluent English, interspersed with their newly acquired Spanish phrases: "What is the favorite festival of children in Uruguay?" "How has football become the country’s calling card?" … The Consul General listened attentively, responded earnestly, and nodded in approval from time to time at the broad horizons of these young visitors. In this moment, the children’s curiosity was fully satisfied.

The multilingual poetry recital emerged as the most touching segment of the day. The students recited Pausa (Pause) by renowned Uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti and Stars by Ba Jin in three languages — Chinese, English, and Spanish. The rhythmic cadences of different tongues intertwined and flowed like streams from distant lands, ultimately merging into the same river of emotion. While languages have their boundaries, the insights into life, existence, and growth stirred similar ripples in every heart. In this moment, literature transcending national borders became the bridge of communication. The Consul General encouraged the children to learn more languages and master them well.

The DIY craft session was a scene of bustling activity. Chinese cultural icons — pandas, lion dancers, dumplings, and azure dragons — came together and blended in the children’s colorful paper, paintbrushes, and creative ideas.

As the visit drew to a close, the children presented special gifts: hand-painted artworks themed on China-Uruguay friendship. In their vivid brushstrokes, the Great Wall of China stood side by side with Uruguay’s scenic landmarks, and a group of giant pandas frolicked joyfully on the beaches of Montevideo. These delightful paintings were dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uruguay.

A single visit may not change the world. But when dance serves as a greeting and poetry touches the heartstrings, the most precious seeds of cultural exchange are quietly sown. With their innocence and sincerity, these children are forging bonds of friendship and understanding across the globe, and building a more inclusive and expansive future.
